I am shocked too, I would have never dreamed this would happen in this site. Yesterday morning I ran updates and full scans with AVG and spybot nothing showing an intruder. I also found on my desktop McAfee working for about a month ago, I don't know how it got there. I am using cox cable and they are advertising McAfee with their internet). That was running and did not pick it up either. I didn't get it fixed until about 5 p.m and all day I was worried about my myfamily.com site and Tracy Mark's site because both of us have links directly to webshots on the site. About two months ago I had 1000 views in one week, usually at least 500 per week. When I contacted him he told me he had the same problem a while ago and his software did not pick anything up either. He had a free version of malwarebytes.com so he scanned and that virus protection picked it up. I emailed everyone I could think of and this morning a friend sent me an email
about malwarebytes.com.
Malwarebytes finds pesky Trojan - Network World
Interesting story about someone with a similar problem

A couple of years ago I had Norton (updated every year) and I got a virus, messed up my computer, the guy at the shop downloaded AVG and Spybot for me.
Right now I am afraid to go into webshots so when I was talking to Tracy he turned his malwarebytes scan on and went into the site. After about a minute the fake virus protection tried to take over the screen (that is what happened to me). While he was in there he looked for contact information but only could send an email through the site so he sent an email for me.
When I couldn't connect yesterday I contacted Cox Cable, the rep could not help me get a connection (even though on his side) nothing showed wrong with my computer. He gave me the name of a company, plumchoice.com 1-866-951-4497, who they do business with. They set up an appointment later that day and then I gave them access to my computer and they fixed it. The only reason I did it is because they were recommended by Cox. The best thing is I did not have to take my computer apart and take it to a shop and wait for a couple of weeks to get it back. Are you ready for this! I could watch what he was doing and at the end he downloaded Malwarebytes and scanned my computer and it picked up the virus, then after he completed the second scan which showed no viruses he deleted the program. It took him about an hour and a half to complete.
On a happier note....today the SAINTS play the Vikings. We are all praying they WIN! It has been 43 years we have been waiting for a chance to go to the Superbowl. This city has been crazy for months, it will EXPLODE if we win today!!!!!

Yikes! I'm sorry to hear you are having so much trouble with webshots. My cousin just got back to genealogy and went to my webshots last week. I'll send her a warning. thanks for warning me. Maybe there will be something in the news about it. I hope it all works out for you. I would think they would assist you to get your pictures. I wonder if they have a phone number. Larry, how about if you try webshots on a public computer like the library or community college. They have the best virus protection and you may be able to download to a disc.

Today I went into webshots and I received a virus from the site. I know it was webshots because about a week ago I had the same problem but this time it held my internet connection hostage. When I went in a virus protection advertisement popped up and took over my screen and said that I had a virus (it was the virus). It cost me $85.00 to correct the problem. I spoke to Tracy and he had the same problem but he had the software malwarebytes as virus protection. My virus protection and spybot did not find it. I wanted to let everyone I can know about it. I don't know how yet I am going to get my pictures out.
