Hi Rosalie, I'm not sure of anything - that's just what she wrote to me.  I
wondered if she meant Porto Empedocle, but that doesn't sound alike.

Are you sure of the spelling?  I use Expedia.com.  It brought up different
spellings.

I recently reconnected with a high school friend on Facebook whose maiden
name was Collura.  I asked her if her paternal grandfather came from Termini
Imerese and she said no, he came from Port'Impellico [Sicily].  I don't find
that town in my database, and nothing comes up when I google it with several
possible spellings.  

Anyone ever hear of it?  I'm thinking it's a frazione of some other town -
maybe Termini.  ????
