(AGI) - Rome, 19 Nov. - On the matter of the Fiat facility in Termini
Imerese "CEO Sergio Marchionne has been clear on everything: meetings will
be held with government and unions and we will speak in due course, at the
right moment". This statement came from Fiat President, Luca Cordero di
Montezemolo, as he arrived at the Agostino Gemelli polyclinic in Rome to
take part in the "Anticorpi contro il declino: l'Italia che verra'" meeting.

Fiat already has leaked some information to the Italian press. La Repubblica
reports car production will cease at the Termini Imerese, Sicily, plant that
employs 1,400 workers. In June, Marchionne said the factory was not
competitive and should be converted to other industrial uses.
Unsurprisingly, labor unions are strongly opposed to the plan for the
Termini Imerese plant.
