And that looks like it probably isn't correct at all. If you look at
Cosimo's marriage document, his mother is Ignazia LoPresti who is
deceased at the time of the marriage.

The death document is transcribed correctly.......except that it should
have included the age of 37 in the notes column. I believe that the
death document is incorrect based on his marriage document.

Remember that the death documents are the LEAST reliable of the
records. This is because most of the people reporting these deaths of
older people were NOT present at the birth so they don't have first hand
knowledge of the birth.

But in the case of the birth documents, it is usually a family member -
father, grandmother, sister of the mother or father - who reports the
birth and are usually present when the birth took place.

Marriage documents are more reliable than the death documents because
they had to prove their age either by their birth if they were born
after 1819 or by their baptism if their birth was prior to 1820.

But just because it is a birth or marriage document, does not mean it is
free of errors. We have found plenty of them and I try to notate those
in the database when it becomes apparent that there is an error. I also
try to notate discrepancies in ages, names etc when we find them

That is the only record I find for them, so for lack of confirmation it's not etched in stone yet. I need to take a good look at other Antonino's married to LoPresti, Campagna, Sasso.
