Already there is a heavy seat sale for the Victor Herbert concerts to be given at the Auditorium, May 12 and 13.
Signor DeLuca of Termini Sinerese, Italy, a pupil of Cav. Pietro Minett, of the Peabody Conservatory of Music, Baltimore, completed his studies in Italy under the great maestro, Cantelli, the teacher of Sammarco. Signor DeLuca is a nepher of Francesco Pandolfini, one of Italy's most celebreated baritones, who was selected by Verdi to create the part of "Ormanastro" in the first presentation of "Alda" at LaScala in 1876. With wide experience in concert and opera throughout Italy and posessing a baritone voice of great range and singular beauty of quality, this young singer is destine for a great career.
Sinor DeLuca, however, is but one of the seven renowed vocal celebreties who feature in the programs of the Victor Herbert Music Festival. Many beautiful operatic renditions may be looked forward to with assurance. The boards for reservation of seats will be on display at Westfalls at 8:30 on the morning of Wednesday May 3 or 8?
