[TI] File system

A long time ago, Joe and I had discussed the merits of chronological
data versus family data in filing systems.

I have tried several forms of filing in the past.

First, I tried the binder for each family but that is becomes too
cumbersome.............especially when you get into more than a few
generations and the families start adding up.

Folders/Binders by surname would be impossible........I would have well
over 100 just on my Termini family.........most with only one document
that ties it to that tree.

Chronological order of documents works the best for me. I have binders
for each of the following categories: births, deaths, marriages,
baptisms, census reports, marriage allegati, military records, land
records, etc.

I also have a digital image of each of the documents. The digital image
states the persons name, type of document and the date of document.

But no matter what method you choose, choose what works best for you.

AND...................BACKUP your work
