[TI] Fw: Ancestry.com

I have been a member of Ancestry.Com for many years. With my family being
in this country for many years, formal records are not available. They were
mostly farmers and lived in rural area and belonged to a small Baptist
church. I actually have copied two record books from one of the churches
and they are very sparse with names and no births or deaths recorded.

Anyway, Ancestry is constantly adding information. When you are able to get
actual records and your ancestors are only in this country a few years, it
probably is not as much help as it has been for me.

Anyway, this is all leading up to the fact they have a place to post your
family tree along with pictures with the individual. I uploaded my family
and keep adding pictures. I have also uploaded Richard's family. I have
received many great old pictures of his family and have posted them all with
his family. I was also able to make a beautiful family book for his Aunt
when she turned 100 last year. There is also a place where I made a colleage
of her family photos and used as a cover. The inside not only had pictures
to idenify each individual, it included documents such as Ship's log, War
World I draft registration and census tracts. I was also able to scan in
documents such as marriage certificates, etc for those I had available.
Someone posted an old photo of Termini at the turn of the century and I used
that and then a recent copy of Termini also from a webpage. I think her
children appreciated it more than she did as she doesn't like to talk about
the past.

Now that I have bored you to death with details, I can invite anyone to be
able to view the Geraci Family Tree that would like to without being a
member. I have to have them send you the invitation, so if you would like
to look it over, please send me your e-mail address and I will put your name
in the invite list.

Sorry, I will apologize I didn't think about it. To tell you the truth I
have never used the library computers unless my computer was down...that
never crossed my mind (I guess it should have). The last time my computer
was down to be able to look at my emails I waited an hour, while kids were
playing games, to get a half hour on the computer to read my emails.
Needless to say, I couldn't wait to get out of there.

Some libraries subscribe to Ancestry.com - but it has to be used in the
library. It is free of charge. You should check out your local library.

Hi,
Does anyone have Ancestry.com? I was wondering if you could check something
for me. I was told that my gggrandfather's parents were listed there. Also,
I was wondering if he had any brothers or sisters. Thanks,
Larie
