I have been following this chat since I got home today, 
there is a very easy way to find  your lost downloaded files.

In most cases the files (especially with internet exploder, 
cause I hate anything microsoft trys to do to make "your 
life easier),  this program usually downloads files to your 
document folder in a folder appropriately named "DownLoads".

if one were to open Windows Explorer with the "FLAG and E" 
keys pressed at the same time. and navigate to Documents and 
Settings and open it there you will find additional folders 
and the left click on "My Documents" and you should find 
additional folders, there you should find Downloads".

Other wise try to download your missing file and see where 
it is being down loaded to, if you still have problems, 
contact me off line or call me 775 537 6317 and I will guide 
you gently to the right place.  I have 43 years of computer 
experience to guide me.
