[TI] Tim Balsamo

Many people will be keeping you, and all of Tim's family, in their thoughts
and prayers this week. I couldn't agree more with you that the Reunion this
year in Cleveland will be a tribute to Tim and that he certainly would want
all of us to gather and celebrate our Termini heritage with or without him -
that's just how Tim was. I'm sure I speak for many people who thank you and
Lisa Comella for being co-hosts along with Tim. As all of us who do
genealogy are acutely aware, there are many sad losses of family and friends
at young ages that are a great sadness to those left behind, but we are
always grateful for the good deeds that people leave behind for us to
remember them by - our Reunion this year will be one of those situations and
we will celebrate Tim's final gift to the TI Mailing List. The wonderful
feeling of family and friendships that occur when our Termini group meets
will help balance the difficult time this week. So, despite the sadness of
this week, I will look forward to seeing everyone again in a few short weeks
in Cleveland. Many thanks in advance for the hard work of both of you,
and any others behind the scenes in Cleveland, who continue to prepare in
Tim's absence.
The new pizza restaurant that one of Tim's friends opened, and that Laura
mentioned, sounds like a wonderful place to gather on Friday night. Once we
have more information, and if it looks like it will work for a casual
meeting place and dinner on Friday, I will plan on being there.
Once again, our thoughts are with all of Tim's family and friends in
Cleveland this week.
Paul

Thanks Paul, This really upsetting. My family didn't know Tim. Because of
the list I got to know him and I am glad that he was a cousin of mine. It is
very difficult. He will be missed. This reunion should be a dedication to
him. He worked so hard to put it all together for us. He made sure I was a
contact person in case something happened. He didn't talk much about how
sick he was. Thanks for thoughts and prayers.

This is very, very sad news for everyone who knows/knew Tim. He was always
a very upbeat, positive person and he will be sorely missed by his family
and friends and will be a loss to everyone on the Termini Mailing List. I
don't know that Tim really ever spoke about his illness to anyone on the
List. He told me that he couldn't come to the Reunion in Rochester last
year because of his health but never talked about the specifics. I don't
know if everyone on the list realizes that Tim was our main host for the
Cleveland Reunion coming up next month. I spoke to him several times on the
phone over the past six months as he made all the Reunion arrangements and
his only comment to me was that he was trying to make sure everything was in
place for the Reunion so that it would run smoothly without him "in case my
health tanks by then." I never questioned him on his health, but then
again, I never imaged that he meant that he would be deceased by the time of
the Reunion.
My condolences to all of his family, particularly those who are members of
the TI List, which I believe include Madeline Gill and Tami Leanza. Tim was
a great guy and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
