[TI] upgrading software

What version are you using?  FTM versions 2005, 2006 and Version 16 run 
on Vista.  I would recommend staying with 2006.  Once it is installed, 
do the automatic update feature and it will take it to Version 16.

FTM 2008 has come a long way from where it was a year ago at this time 
BUT I still would not recommend it to the faint of heart about trying a 
new program..........it is NOT an upgrade but a completely new program.  
It still lacks many of the features and reports and books from previous 
versions.

I am running 2008 and Vers 16 simultaneously on my computer because I 
was on the beta testing team for 2008.  I am not ready to switch totally 
to 2008 and probably won't until the missing reports and book features 
are added to this new version.  I do like the interface and the way it 
is arranged on the screen and many of its other features
