Nancy,

My fault! I did the indexing for 1884 births and sure enough, I had the
name Giuseppe Mercurio on my worksheet for the May 31, 1884 birth (doc. 394),
but made a typo when I keyed it for the database and turned him into a girl.
So you are correct that it was the birth of her brother.

Laura--will you please correct?

Dear Cousins,

Please forgive what might be perceived as a dumb question...
I am researching my maternal great grandmother Giuseppa Mercurio and
have found a birth announcement in the TI database online for a Giuseppa
Mercurio on May 31, 1884. I think this might actually be the birth of
her brother Giuseppe, not her. I am fairly certain her birth date is
November 19, 1878.

The film number given is 2014203 and the document number is 818.
Are these numbers from the LDS documents?
How do I go about trying to find this actual film number and document
number so I can look at it to confirm that this is actually for Giuseppe
and not Giuseppa.
Again, excuse my ignorance. I have never had to pay attention to these
numbers before now.
