number is the number on the document on that film.  This makes finding the

Dear Cousins,

Please forgive what might be perceived as a dumb question...
I am researching my maternal great grandmother Giuseppa Mercurio and
have found a birth announcement in the TI database online for a Giuseppa
Mercurio on May 31, 1884. I  think this might actually be the birth of
her brother Giuseppe, not her. I am fairly certain her birth date is
November 19, 1878.

The film number given is 2014203 and the document number is 818.
Are these numbers from the LDS documents?
How do I go about trying to find this actual film number and document
number so I can look at it to confirm that this is actually for Giuseppe
and not Giuseppa.
Again, excuse my ignorance. I have never had to pay attention to these
numbers before now.
