[TI] Catholic church ban on Mormons accessing Sacramental records.

Dear Bart,

That is a good point concerning how the other
religions are also restricting access to their
records.

And from a Catholic moral perspective the Church may
feel like they would be giving material cooperation to
individuals who are involved in religious practices
contrary to Catholic teaching.

And finally, religious records could also potentially
be used one day for religious persecution if an
atheist government ever took power and tried to root
out Christianity or Judaism by tracing people's
religious affiliations from easily-accessible
digitized records. This sounds crazy until one
remembers the Holocaust was only 63 years ago.
