Hi Pam
Located Gore Vale Ave. It is in the west end of the city a section where many from Termini settled. Found only one listing For Carollo.
Will call tomorrow and see if they might be related. I will also ask around in the Villa Columbo is Carollo is a name familiar to anyone.
Also next time I am at the library will look up in Might's Directory 1926 for additional information. Probably will have to go to the main library downtown.
Will get back to you
Will you be able to make the reunion in Cleveland. My cousinTim Balsamo is hosting it. He is hoping to get it all together in Little Italy.
Madeleine

Subject: [TI] Carollos in Toronto?
Madeleine,
I just came upon a 1926 letter from grandfather's cousin Pietro Carollo,
with a return address of 95 Gore Vale Ave., Toronto. He was an artist--probably
born in late 19th c. Wondered if there was a chance you knew of any
Carollos in Toronto. This family was from Castelbuono. Pietro's sister Rosalia
Carollo married my grandfather's brother (her first cousin), Gioachino (Jake)
Minardo (Minardi when they came to the U.S.) and lived in Norwalk, Ohio. Their
parents were Vincenzo Carollo (Castelbuono) and Agostina Corrao (Termini).
That's all I know.
