In the Orleans Parish message board this link was sent because Rootsweb.com 
is having problems with their search engine. This lists the births, deaths, 
and marriages which unfortunately only shows the year. But.....
Birth - Now are more current. Louisiana won't release indexes for births for 
100 years and of course shows the parents of the child.
Deaths - Are posted into the late 1950's - Louisiana holds indexes for 
deaths for 50 years
Marriages - Are posted into the late 1950's - Louisiana hold indexes for 
marriages for 50 years
What is amazing, I find, that our certified copies of these certificates are 
only $5.00 each. We can go to the main library in New Orleans and get copies 
of the marriage and death certificates to approximately 1913 for 25 cents.
Rootsweb is not posted to these yet.
