Mercurio, Joseph J. May 8, 2008. 'God saw he was
getting tired and a cure was not to be; so he put his
arms around him and whispered, 'Come with Me.' With
tearful eyes and heavy hearts we watched him fade
away, although we loved him dearly, we could not make
him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working
hands were put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove
to us, He only takes the best. Now he is safely home.'
Beloved husband of Mary Kay Mercurio, married 41
years; dear father of the late George Scott (Kristin)
Mercurio and Joseph Elliott (Theresa) Mercurio; dear
grandfather of Luis and Patricia Marie Mercurio; dear
son of the late John and Ida Mercurio; dear brother of
Victor (Josephine) Mercurio, Lucia Rich and Rosemary
(Craig) Burgdorf; beloved uncle, cousin and friend to
many.Services: A Memorial Service will be held Sat.,
MAy 17 at 11 a.m. at VALHALLA Chapel, 7600 St. Charles
