[TI] Sicilian Child Naming Tradition

Terry,
My two oldest uncles were named after paternal and maternal grandfathers 
respectively. However my grandparents had three sons they named Serafino 
after an uncle of my grandfather's who was a priest. The first two died but 
the third lived. He was given the middle name Benedict. There was a 
Benedictine monastery in Montemaggiore and I assume thatwas also the order 
to which Father Serafino belonged.  The irony is he was known not as 
Serafino but as Ben.
