Dear Glenda,
This is certainly interesting information. And the
presence of so many Francesco Geraci's is similar to
my famiy not to mention that your Geraci's apparently
married into the same Macaluso family. As we know from
many postings on this list, it was quite common for
several brothers of one family to marry several
sisters of another family.
Here are the immediate members of my dad's family:
1) Edward Geraci, Sr., born 9/30/1907 (my grandfather)
2) Francesco Geraci, born 10/1/1855 (my g-grandfather)
and yes, he was 52 yrs old the day after my
grandfather was born! He was married to Rosina
Marcellino.
3) Don Francesco Geraci, born 1819 (my
g-g-grandfather) and was married to Donna Caterina
Macaluso.
4) Don Girolamo Geraci, born abt. 1781 (my
g-g-g-grandfather) and was married to Donna Maria
Giacoma Parrinello.
5) Don Ignazio Geraci, born in 1750-1760's? (my
g-g-g-g-grandfather) and was married to Donna Girolama
Abbate
And I think Laura helped me go one generation further
back and found a Geraci married to a Mormino
(misplaced my documentation!).
Does any of this info ring any bells?
