Thanks for posting this Larie!  She is my first cousin three times removed 
and her maiden name was Giuseppina Mascari.  I knew she lived in Cedar 
Rapids and suspected she died there but never had a date of death.  As to 
her birth, my records suggested a birth year of 1895, based on Census 
records, etc.  And, she was born in my birthday of Oct. 21st!  Thanks again!

Mrs. Joseph Lazio
Josephine Lazio, 55, of 1209 First Avenue SE, wife of Joseph Lazio, died at 
her home at 1 a.m. Tuesday after a lingering illness. Born in Termini 
Imerese, Sicily October 21, 1896, she came to the United States in 1914, 
living at Rochester, New York, before coming to Cedar Rapids 37 years ago.
Surviving besides her husband are a son, Charles, three daughters, Virginia 
Mae Lazio, Mrs. Marguerite Scolaro, all of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Ann 
Ebeling of Marion; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Lazio of Sterling, Ill and Rosaria 
Mascari of Milwaukee; two brothers, Charles Mascari of Rochester, New York 
and Giuseppe of Termini Imerese;four grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Thursday in Immaculate Conception 
Church by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. William H. Schulte. Burial will be in Mt. 
Calvary Cemetery.
Msgr. Schulte will recite the Rosary at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Monahan 
funeral home where frieds may call Tuesday evening and Wednesday.
