No, this was the index transcription only.
The documents that Chick transcribed are NOT transcribed correctly.
There are too many mistakes to publish them at this point. He
mistakenly read many of the entries from the old Latin writing and made
too many assumptions of things that were not on the documents.
The one thing that is VERY necessary to anyone who looks at the index
for these baptisms it that we have NO way to tie these individuals to
anyone who exists in the certificate database at this time. We will
need the documents BETWEEN these early baptisms and the 1820 records to
bridge that gap.
Another thing to not is that most of the early baptismal records do NOT
list a surname for the mother - just list her first name.
Until I can find time to sit with my Latin dictionary full time on them
and be able to correct, they will cannot be published. We have been
trying to finish the births and deaths thru 1910 first.
At the present time, there are only 4 of us transcribing and Rosi
filming. Pam and I have been working on the handwritten births and
deaths in the 1870's and these take extra long. We still have about 30
years of births and deaths to finish.
