Subject: [TI] Italian Bakery

Hi Kim,

I am in search of a really good Italian bakery in the St. Louis area for a wedding cake to be served at my daughter's wedding luncheon that I have scheduled for August 16th at the St. Louis Frontenac Hilton.

I knew of bakeries years ago, but since I have not lived in the area for almost 30 years, I have lost track of who may still be in business, and who has taken over at their places.

I can get really great cakes and cookies in Chicago, but would prefer to have them from St. Louis and delivered to the site.

Can you give me an idea of who you would recommend? My future son-in-law likes fruit-filled cakes (me, too) but is open to anything good. I told him that ALL Italian cakes are not good, they are GREAT.

If anyone else on the list has their favorite suggestions for bakeries in the St. Louis area, let me know.

I am planning my next trip there at the end of March or first part of April to get the cake and flowers business taken care of. I was there in January and got the musicians and photographer already set up.

Sharon Reif
