My grandson had started with interested of research and genealogy at the age
of 10 .  Shawn found it very interesting and loved the hunt.  He still has
the bug in his system and no time to do it, now in college and working and a
relationship that just might end in marriage in a year or two.   Shawn is a
computer major studying security now and has about 2 more years to complete
out of a 5 year course.

When Shawn comes to visit I kind of show him what I have and how far back I
have gone.  Shawn is very excited about it now at the age of 21.  I took him
to the FHC and informed him how to do genealogy when he was 10 and still has
the bug.  

Granddaughter  loves it too Katie is 22.  Katie's life style is a little
different then Shawn.  Katie's not as driven because I am doing the Italian.
But is into the German side of the family, which is her father's side.  When
she had time did research and has been to the FHC at very young age also.
Katie is a dance major at college and graduating this coming December after
4 years of study.  Has a job opening at the local high school to teach dance
for a while until she heads to New York to try Broadway.  Just a small
background of children in genealogy.  

I believe Laura started at 17 or 18 in genealogy.   Starting at a young age
gives background to youngsters to know what is available and how to work at
it.

We have had people of ALL ages involved in our reunions. So don't hold 
back bringing your son unless you really think he would be bored to 
death to learn more about his Termini Imerese ancestry - stories, 
culture, etc

NOT everything happens between 10 and 4 on Saturday.  There is also the 
dinner on Saturday night which will also be a lot of fun.

There are also the gabfests that happen in the evenings at the hotel 
where we talk to we can't keep our eyes open anymore.

There will be quite a few of us coming in from out of town and will be 
doing things on Friday.  Ray and I will be going to the Rock and Roll 
Hall of Fame.
