I had to write to my friend who found out what to use and how to use it
on old linens.
She used Polident tablets Put 3 tablets in a large stock pot with cold
water. Let soak overnight. Repeat process until they are clean and
free of odors. She said it usually only took one, sometimes two soaks
for them to become clean
