Probably the name is not spelled correctly. I found the Maria Delisi
Lamantias family on a ship's passenger record as..
Maria Delisi and her children as Amantias.

She was for sure born here. I will have to wait until 2011 when the Orleans
Parish Births are posted to Rootsweb to see if the last name was possibly
was mispelled. She did try to get a birth certificate but the State
couldn't find it.
