That is just amazing. Can't believe how well she is for 100. I'm 70 and do
not do as well as she does. God bless her. She's doing something right.
If only we all aged that well.

Subject: [TI] 100 year old birthday

I must tell you of the birthday party for my husband's Aunt Anna Geraci
LoMedico's birthday. She is the sister of my husband's father that died in
1948 and he has not had any contact with any Geraci family since then until
last year when we connected by e-mail to some cousins.

July 26, 2008 was Aunt Anna's 100the birthday. Please do not get a picture
in your head of an old lady in a wheel chair and not able to comprehend the
situation. This lady was vibrant and totally alive and hard to keep up
with.

It started with a 12:00pm Mass at her local Catholic church where she is
very active and a regular attendee. She walked straight up front and took
her seat and her daughter kept losing track of her. We had not had the
pleasure of meeting her until that day. She was a delight and totally
lucid.

After church we went to the local Italian-American Club in Nyak, NY where we

had a party with 125 people. She was totally surrounded by people and
everyone wanted their picture taken with their 100 year old relative. She
danced and danced. They brought out a chair for her as her balance was not
so good. She sat down and continued to dance in the chair, clapping her
hands, wiggling her bottom and tapping her feet. It was totally inspiring.
She certainly did not look to be 100 and I have seen 70 year old women that
would kill for her skin.

Richard and I met 5 of his first cousins for the first time. One of the men

his age said he remembered playing with him when they were children, but
Richard did not remember any of that. The really amazing thing is that this

male cousin looked so much like Richard's late father that I felt that I was

meeting the father. I could not help starring at him.

The cousins ranged from age 65 to 79 and each one looked at least to to15
years younger than their age. It was amazing! I did not have my tree with
me and could not remember the age, but when I got home and looked up the
birthdates, I could not believe the age because they looked so much younger.

This was truly a wonderful experience and through research and genealogy, we

were able to made the connection.

Glenda Geraci
