Mark,
    Do you know who Maria may have married.  There is a obituary card file at the library but the person is listed under the marriage name (but usually shows her maiden name).  Until the index is completed online, when the names will be cross referenced, or if she didn't marry, I can't check the records.  Do you think her parents came to New Orleans?  Any other information?  Rootsweb - Orleans Parish is pretty good for info but right now the "search" is down.

I just found the note in my family tree  file...

It stated:

Mother: Rose Cortesi
Father: Mariano  Pusateri

Daughter: Mary - New Orleans

Grandfather:  Phil

Catharine ( no relative given )

Anyone can help with  that?
