Hello Nell,

I am not sure what you are referring to but your last name caught my eye. On
my mother's side we have family ties to a LaMantia group that settled in
Homer City , PA. The mother of the group that settled in Homer City, her
maiden name was Battaglia and her brothers were Philip, Augie and Joseph.
They had settled in Derry,PA. Her name was Martha, I believe. Her husband was
Dominic and some of her children's names we Phyllis, Elsie, Dominic, Augie
and Anthony. She was killed in an auto accident. Some of her children
settled in the Washington, D.C. area/Virginia. The others stayed in Pa.

On my dad's side of the family my great grandmother was a LaMantia. Her
daughter Salvatora, my grandmother married a Piazza. They would have resided
in the Cleveland area after having come over here from Termini in the
1900's.

During the depression my grandfather went to work for some LaMantia's in the
produce business in Chicago.

I would appreciate knowing if this info may also be part of your family
tree.

Thank you.

Sally Ann Piazza Glenn
