Then you may be interested in joining the Comunes of Italy, a private opt-in mailing list that deals with Italian Genealogy and "All things Italian". We have some very knowledgeable people that can answer almost any question concerning Genealogical research on your Italian ancestors.
People on our list post questions and answers on all aspects of Italian culture and as an added bonus the list owners post virus warnings and a few freeware programs that our members may be interested in each week and websites that deal with Italian culture, language, history, etc. on a daily basis. There are also some very knowledgeable people on the list that can help with a computer related technical question or genealogy software question.
The list is not a public forum, your messages are private to the list members only. Your email address is not sold or posted where spammers can get access to it.
At times this can be a very active list and the number of messages per day can range from 10 to over 40 depending on the time of year and the number of questions posted to the list on that day. We do have a digest form. The messages accumulate til the digest reaches a certain size and then you receive it with several messages in one email. Sometimes 1 or 2 digests a day, sometimes several.
PLEASE: Understand that you will be receiving all messages that are posted to the list and are free to respond to any message that comes from the list.
