My Grandfather, Gandalfo Schimmenti (1898-1958) came to Ellis Island in 1912. He married another former Polizzi resident’s daughter from New Haven, CT named Sarah Scileppi. I am a grandson (1958-?) who will be returning to Polizzi this May with my wife and son to find as much family history as possible. Any help is greatly appreciated!
