Dear Friends, With the arrival of the Christmas festivity, it is my pleasure to extend to you the most fervent greetings of a Merry Christmas and of a Happy New Year.
It is, at this particular time of the year, that we all feel the need to come together, to rediscover the value of our traditions, to the flavors or essences of life that are disappearing. A sense of strong attachment to the land in which one has been born, or where one’s parents have been born, the family and the home, in this particular moment of the year makes one more alive and present.
This letter wants to be a tangible sign, an encouragement, to draw closer, to express a clear sign of solidarity to those who find themselves far from their homeland. I beg forgiveness of those citizens whose address we lack, will not be able to receive this, my, message.
I ask the collaboration of those who will receive this, to become my spokespersons and bring our best wishes, personally and in the name of the community’s administration, without exception, to all our fellow citizens who reside outside their native country.
